On these pages we try to give you a flavour of the school as a child sees it. The views currently reflect the oldest children in the school. We will be adding more from the younger end soon.

Staveley Primary School is ,brilliant  school, our lessons are  such fun P.E. is the best. We have really fun school  trips the year sixes get to go to York every year and  the year fives go to Fellside. (John and Ben Y6)

Playtimes at Staveley School are really fantastic. If it is rainy we can choose of what we would like to do. We have all sorts of things to choose from. We have board games, cards and paper to draw on. We also have wet playtime boxes in each class so you can have a look for what you want to do . The older kids in the school look after the little ones. They have fun because the older kids join in with them and at the end of playtime they would probably read them a book. If it is sunny, it is really fun. Children can do lots of activities outside. We have a track that children can jog on which have challenges. Mrs. Stringer the teacher assistant and dinner lady puts out things that you can play with. She has skipping ropes, stilts, tennis rackets and tennis balls and lots of other things. We can also play our own games that can be made up. In summer kids can bring hats that can protect them from the sun. They also can bring sun cream and sunglasses. If they do not have these products they should stay in the shade. They do not have to but it would be safe for them. It is also fun in summer for children if they are allowed they can roll and roll down the hill in the play ground .(Megan Y6)
