Staveley - A unique village

Staveley is a unique village with many distinctive characteristics. It lies within the Lake District National Park but exists a a genuine, thriving place that lives and breathes without depending upon tourism. It has a bustling village centre, church, school pubs and a significant industrial area. It is also unusual in that it has a railway line with links to the national rail network. The village is nationally known for it's bi-annual Carnival and Storytelling Festival. The village nestles at the confluence of two rivers, the Gowan and the Kent. It is situated in a beautiful area that is rich in scenery, flora and fauna.
