A great first session for Herdwicks at @carusgreengolfclub driving range for our new PE topic. A huge thank you to @adamlynn_pga for teaching us the basics of golf and how we perfect our swing 🏌️We can’t wait to use what we’ve learned in our PE lessons this half term ⛳️
What a privilege for our Year 6 children to spend time with some of our lovely village residents at Warm Spaces today. We enjoyed food, a good natter and even some games! We always look forward to this special time and the smiles on everyone’s faces say it all ❤️
Yesterday we had a lovely visit from Reverend Olivia in Romneys. We have been learning about the importance of the Eucharist for Christians and how there are different traditions and words used in different churches. It was a really interesting and learning packed afternoon. Thank you, Reverend Olivia.
We are looking at the possibility of setting up a Staveley School Alumni and we would love to hear from past pupils (of any age). It would be great to have some ex pupils come in and speak to the current children about life after Staveley and different careers. See details on the poster about how to get in touch.
An excellent start to sewing club today! Everyone earned their sewing machine licence after completing a series of mini sewing tests, and we made a start on our patchwork cushions by cutting and pinning our material. Keep your eyes peeled for updates on our cushions over the next few weeks, 🪡🧵
Jacob Class have got straight back into the swing of things, starting with our new topic ‘people who help us, dentists’. We’ve learned about the different type of teeth we have, had a go at brushing our giant set of teeth and started our tooth experiment using vinegar, juice, coca-cola, tea, coffee and water! In our outdoor learning literacy lesson we loved exploring our beautiful woodland area thinking about a ‘recipe for a Woodland’ and what we would put in our own. What a great start to our new half term.
An absolutely brilliant last day before half term enjoying our prize from @activecumbria for winning Street Tag last season. Thank you James from @scootfit the children loved it and staff too!
