Another science lesson outside testing forces for Herdies! We took our friction investigation outside, looking at which surfaces have the most and least friction. We found the grass had the most friction and the bench and outdoor classroom had the least friction! ✏️🌳
We love multiplying non-unit fractions by integers in Romneys! We turned it into a game this morning and we had to be accurate if we didn’t want to go back a space. Ask your child what they did this morning. Can you remember how to do this? #welovemaths
We’ve had a wonderful time with our preschool friends this morning creating spectacular junk models! We made some binoculars, painted some butterflies and had a brilliant time creating lots of mess with the bit box. What a fabulous morning.
We loved welcoming Sue, Dave and and Guide Dogs ambassador Lawrence into school today. Sue and Dave gave us a very informative talk about Guide Dogs and the life of Lawrence as an ambassador dog. Our children asked brilliant questions at the end of the session. Big thanks to all involved 🦮 #guidedogs
We love maths in Jacob class, today we’ve been learning about the number 7. #welovemaths
Today Herdies explored forces within our fantastic outdoor space and we discovered push and pulls almost everywhere! From pulling ourselves up a climbing frame, to pushing a football into a goal. What a great science lesson! 🧗‍♀️⚽️🛝
Today we took our computing learning outside and used nature as inspiration for our vector drawings. We looked for layers in nature and took photos to copy using shape and line tools on the laptops. The children had to think logically about how to use formatting tools to create an image they were happy with.
