Our first week back of the Summer term and there was a little bit of sunshine amongst the rain ☀️ ☔️ we had a visit from the library van this week so the children enjoyed choosing some new books for school. We also had a visit from Becca - a vet at Westmorland Vets - who talked to us about how to keep safe around cats and dogs. We had a team who went to Kendal Leisure centre for a swim gala - they did a super job. We also had our golf and gardening clubs start. Time outside and in the outdoor classroom and we even had the parachute out for some fun cooperative games. As well as all this the children have worked hard in Maths, English, Science, Music, History, RE to name a few. #villageschool #workinghard #funtimes

We’ve had such a busy week in Jacob class and we really must say a big thank you to Becca from Westmorland vets. Becca came to talk to Jacob and Swaledale classes about dog and cat body language and how to make sure we can keep ourselves safe around our pets. She read through two different stories highlighting how our pets might feel if we don’t give them enough space. Thank you so much for visiting us #westmorlandvets

We’ve had a busy afternoon at gardening club; how exciting to see our potatoes have started to grow! We’ve weeded our final veg bed, have planted sunflower seeds, the rose plants and some leek seeds. We can’t wait to see these growing in the summer.

We had a fantastic morning at the @panathlonchallenge Discovery Gala today! Our team did amazing and showed such determination and teamwork, they should all be very proud of themselves for their achievements! 👏🏻🏊‍♂️

A great morning of maths in Romney class, finding the volume of shapes and then using isometric paper to draw 3D shapes to show volume. The children asked to do more!

Thank you to the @cumbria_sls for visiting us all today! We loved finding out about the variety of books they had and we would like to say thank you for guiding us, giving us recommendations and finding books we were desperate to read but couldn’t find on the shelf. The sun was out for our first golf after school club this afternoon! ☀️ Everyone made some excellent shots and they’ll only get better over the next few weeks!🏌️⛳️
